We are proud to manufacture and supply the safety belt pawl spring (Part ID P002310) used in APV’s seat belt retractors — a small but vital part in a life-saving system.

While inconspicuous, the pawl spring plays an essential role in occupant safety. It drives the locking pawl into the ratchet gear during sudden deceleration or an accident, engaging instantly to halt seat belt extension. 

It’s the mechanism behind the familiar “lockout” you feel when you pull a seat belt too quickly — an everyday reminder of a highly engineered safeguard designed to protect lives.
